The Artist's Inn is quaint as can be and run by a really lovely couple. Jan cooked the most delectable breakfast and it set the stage for a great day exploring Amish Country. She was so accommodating and seemed genuinely excited to give us recommendations and to print out schedules of events for us. We felt very taken care of. We stayed in the Cottage, next door to the inn and it was perfect. Private and quaint as can be. It was spotless and had everything we needed to cook. Will be back!
We have stayed here many times. Hands down best breakfast. Quant little town in the middle of everything. The inn keepers are fabulous.
Amazing! My wife and I were able to stay here for a night due to their Veterans Day free stay. This is in a beautiful part of Lancaster, PA and the view was amazing. The owners are some of the nicest people I ever met in my entire life. The room was amazing. We had a jacuzzi, a walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, and a huge bed with a nice wall mounted flat screen tv with cable. It was super relaxing. So peaceful. The artwork in the common area is amazing. We had a private entrance so we could come and go as we wanted without disturbing others. Then, just when I thought the stay couldn't get any better, I was wrong. The next morning I woke up with my wife, and we went down and were served the most amazing breakfast. I wish I could give this 100 stars out of 5. I can not say enough about the amazing house, the amazing room, and the amazing stay. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast in Lancaster, PA, well, look no further. This is the place to go.
My husband and I recently enjoyed our 51st visit to this lovely Inn. We return as often as possible because of the welcoming atmosphere of the area as well as the beauty of the Inn and the kindness of Jan and Bruce. We have now stayed in each of the three rooms in the Inn itself and hope some day to have a chance to stay in the Old Stone Cottage, a sweet vacation home also owned by Jan and Bruce. Each room in the Inn has its own special character. My husband loves the Garden Suite with its own private porch and beautiful view down into the valley. I love the Rose Room because of its sweet charm and romantic colors. The Kris Kringle room celebrates the joy of Christmas all year long and I really like that room but it is hard to convince my husband to change from the Garden Suite. Breakfast each morning is a very special event. Jan is a thoughtful and creative cook. She uses local produce, eggs, preserves and breakfast meats and serves each course in a lovely presentation. After breakfast (or during any spare time) it's good to wander through the gallery and enjoy Bruce's colored pencil creations and his wonderful books. You are sure to wear a smile and actually hear yourself chuckling unabashedly. Walk around Terre Hill and you will realize by the friendly greetings that the local residents are happy to have the Artist's Inn and Gallery as an integral part of the community and to welcome you to the area. Jan can help you make the most of your visit since she has first-hand knowledge of the variety of places and activities available throughout the county. This is an Inn that calls for more than one visit.
